Srinagar, : Siemens Limited has launched the 14th edition of its Siemens Scholarship Programme, aimed at first-year engineering students from government colleges who exhibit academic excellence but require financial assistance.
The initiative is inspired by Germany’s Dual Education system, integrating financial support with practical, industry-focused learning to enhance students’ skills in engineering, research and development, and manufacturing sectors. The scholarship is available for students in specific disciplines, including Mechanical or Production, Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation, Electronics and Telecommunication, and Computer Science or Information Technology. Notably, the programme reserves 50 percent of its scholarships for female candidates. Since its inception, over 2,300 students from 176 government engineering colleges across 28 states have benefited from this initiative, reflecting Siemens’ commitment to fostering talent in the engineering field.
