Srinagar | September, 18: In a major administrative restructuring aimed at strengthening financial inclusion and social welfare, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has officialized the complete reconstitution of the Board of Directors for the J&K Women’s Development Corporation.
An order issued from General Administration Department supersedes the previous 2020 order and with this newly framed board brings together key state leaders and central financial heads under a unified mandate. The Minister for Social Welfare will serve as Chairperson, flanked by Administrative Secretaries from the Finance, Planning Development & Monitoring, and Social Welfare departments to streamline policy execution.
To fortify national ties and scale up welfare reach across diverse demographics, the high-level panel integrates top leadership from key central corporations, including the Chairman-Cum-Managing Director of the NHFDC, the Managing Director of the NBCFDC, and the Chairman-Cum-Managing Director of the NMFDC, alongside the local Managing Director. Non-official members will be nominated separately by the Social Welfare Department following Central input, positioning the Corporation for a dynamic, highly coordinated drive toward women’s empowerment across the Union Territory.
