Pulwama : Police on Friday said that it has apprehended two drug peddlers during patrolling in the Puchal area and recovered 33.5 grams of a charas-like substance.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, police said a patrolling team from Police Station Pulwama intercepted two individuals near the Dairy Farm in Puchal. Personal searches revealed 13.5 grams of a charas-like substance in the possession of Anees Ul Islam, son of Fayaz Ahmad Rather, resident of Lajoora, and 20 grams in the possession of Margoob Nazir, son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat, resident of Puchal. FIR No. 190/2026 under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pulwama, and the contraband was seized.
