Srinagar | September, 16: A 58-year-old man was killed following a late-night collision between an auto-rickshaw and a car in the Raj Bagh area of Srinagar on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. Officials said the victim was critically injured in the impact and was immediately rushed to SMHS Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The deceased was identified by authorities as Abdullah Rehman Dar, a resident of Beerwah, Budgam. Police officials confirmed that formal cognisance of the accident has been taken and further investigations are currently underway.
