Srinagar: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference Additional General Secretary and MP Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan Wednesday said Omar government is committed to ensure balanced development across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir and is working tirelessly for the welfare, prosperity and well-being of the people.

He made these comments while interacting with public delegations, party functionaries and workers from different areas at the party headquarters today. Provincial President Showkat Ahmad Mir, MLA Beerwah Dr Shafi Ahmad Wani, former MLA Shopian Sheikh Mohammad Rafi, Dr. Mohammad Syed Maqdoomi, Provincial Youth President Mushtaq Mir and other party leaders and functionaries were also present.

During the interaction, the visiting delegations apprised the Additional General Secretary of the organisational activities and party programmes being undertaken in their respective areas, besides informing him about ongoing developmental projects and the issues and difficulties confronting the people.

Chowdry Ramzan said that the National Conference had promised relief and better governance to the people and must remain steadfast in fulfilling that commitment. “The people are the greatest strength of the National Conference and their welfare must always remain our foremost priority. We have to remain firmly rooted among the people and dedicate ourselves to their service under all circumstances,” he said, adding
that the National Conference government is working round the clock for the welfare and development of the people.

Chowdry Ramzan said that the National Conference has a rich and proud history and that its future remains bright. He recalled that the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference was founded with the objective of safeguarding the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, democratic values and their political aspirations.

He said the National Conference played a significant role in promoting political awareness, land reforms, free education and social justice, while contributing to the establishment and strengthening of democratic and constitutional institutions in Jammu and Kashmir. For decades, he said, the party has not only provided political leadership but has also remained a voice for the aspirations of the people.

“With the blessings of Almighty Allah and the continued support and participation of the people, the National Conference will face every challenge with determination. We will continue our struggle for the rights and dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and remain committed to securing justice for them,” he added.
