*Baramulla | September 16, : Baramulla Police conducted an awareness programme at Wussan to sensitise the local community about the harmful effects of substance abuse and the need for collective efforts to combat drug addiction.
The programme was attended by I/C Police Post Wussan, local PRI members and community members. Participants were sensitised about the physical, social and psychological harms of drug abuse and encouraged to actively contribute towards creating a drug-free society.
The importance of the role of parents, youth, PRIs and community members in identifying and preventing substance abuse was also emphasised. Participants were encouraged to remain vigilant, support individuals affected by addiction and work closely with police to address drug-related concerns.
The programme concluded peacefully with active participation and appreciation from the attendees. Baramulla Police reiterated its commitment to strengthening community participation in the fight against drug abuse and promoting a safe and healthy society.
