Srinagar| September 12: Police on Saturday said that it has seized a vehicle for involvement in illegal mining at Gantamulla, Sheeri in Baramulla district.
In a statement issued here on Saturday Police said that a dumper bearing registration number JK05L-3464 was intercepted while being operated without valid royalty documents. The vehicle was seized and challaned under relevant provisions of the MMRD Act for necessary legal action. In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to curb illegal mineral activities and appealed all stakeholders to comply with legal requirements.
