Srinagar | September, 11: A woman sustained injuries after being mauled by a bear in the Handoora area of Tral in Pulwama district on Friday, sources said.
The victim was identified as Hajra Begum, wife of Ghulam Ahmad Khan, a resident of Handoora. She was immediately evacuated by locals to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tral for medical attention. Following the incident, local residents urged the Wildlife Department to deploy teams and take immediate measures to capture the animal amid increasing wild animal movement in the vicinity.
