Srinagar | Sept, 9:The Muslim Personal Law Board Jammu & Kashmir has appointed Syed Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Andrabi as the Working District President of the Board for District Baramulla, with immediate effect.
The appointment was announced through an official communiqué issued by the Board on Wednesday, stating that the decision has been taken in the interest of the organisation and with the objective of strengthening, streamlining and expanding its organisational structure.
As Working District President, Andrabi will be responsible for strengthening the district committee, coordinating organisational activities and ensuring effective implementation of the policies, programmes and directives of the Muslim Personal Law Board J&K at the district level.
The Board said the organisational arrangement was finalised after due consultation with Syed Mohammad Aslam Andrabi, Vice Chairman, Muslim Personal Law Board J&K; Secretary Peerzada Mohammad Amin Shah; District President Peerzada Mohammad Shafi; and Er Wali Mohammad Dar, Zone Organiser, North Kashmir.
The Board also announced the induction of Mufti Mohammad IshaqLolabi, resident of Lalpora, Lolab, as a member of the Muslim Personal Law Board Jammu & Kashmir with immediate effect.
Mufti Mohammad IshaqLolabi is associated with Masjid Huda as Imam and Khateeb. The Board welcomed his induction and expressed hope that he would contribute towards its religious, social and organisational objectives.
The communiqué called upon all office-bearers and members of the Board to extend their full cooperation to the newly appointed Working District President and work collectively in the larger interest of the organisation and the community. The appointment and membership approval were issued with immediate effect. The communiqué was issued by Er Danish Reshi, Advisor to the Grand Mufti J&K and General Secretary (Organisation), Muslim Personal Law Board Jammu & Kashmir.
