The Chief Secretary thoroughly reviewed the Mission’s performance, emphasizing the necessity of maintaining momentum and fostering collaboration among various stakeholders, including departments, financial institutions, and training organizations. He highlighted the importance of translating the growing application base into sustainable enterprises and meaningful employment for the youth, particularly focusing on women and youth participation. The review also underscored the need for effective field mobilization, timely processing of applications, and stronger institutional convergence to enhance the Mission YUVA’s impact. Secretary Kumar Rajeev Ranjan reported significant progress since the last review, noting a 39 percent increase in daily application intake and a remarkable 76 percent rise in female-led applications. The mass youth mobilization campaign, YuvaJagriti 5.0, has reached over 88,300 individuals, while ongoing Business Hackathons have engaged 18,000 students, generating over 1,300 innovative business ideas. The total application intake has surged by 37 percent, with substantial increases in verifications, approvals, and loan sanctions, indicating improved processing efficiency. The Mission has successfully translated financial support into enterprise creation, with 13,597 new enterprises operational and a notable increase in the Capacity Building and Business Mentorship component. The number of trained individuals has risen by 73 percent, and mentorship completion has expanded significantly, enhancing support for emerging entrepreneurs. Additionally, the onboarding of J&K merchant storefronts on the Open Network for Digital Commerce has increased dramatically, providing young entrepreneurs with access to the national digital marketplace. Overall, Mission YUVA is establishing itself as a vital platform for empowering the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, facilitating their transition from aspirations to sustainable livelihoods.
