Dr Basharat directs intensified mobilisation of youth, SHGs, timely disposal of applications and stronger market linkages

Pulwama| Sept, 9:Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom, Wednesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Administrative Complex here to assess the progress and implementation of Mission YUVA (YuvaUdyami Vikas Abhiyan) in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the block-wise performance under the Mission and sought details regarding the applications received so far, approved cases, loans sanctioned and loan disbursal, output tracking and stressed the need for accelerating efforts to ensure that the benefits of the scheme reach all eligible youth and aspiring entrepreneurs. He directed all concerned departments, banking institutions and implementing agencies to work in close coordination for timely processing of applications, speedy sanction and disbursement of loans and effective handholding of beneficiaries.
Emphasising the importance of awareness and mobilisation, Dr.Qayoom directed the concerned officers to intensify UdyamJagriti activities at the grassroots level. He called for the involvement of Block Development Officers, Urban Local Bodies, NRLM functionaries and other field-level agencies in identifying and motivating potential entrepreneurs by organising joint awareness camps at the grassroots level.
