Cluster University Srinagar introduces paperless examinations for B.Ed.

Srinagar | Sept, 9: Cluster University of Srinagar has made a significant advancement in its examination system by launching a Paperless Examination initiative for the B.Ed. Programme.
The initiative represents a pivotal shift towards digital transformation, aiming to modernize the examination process through the integration of technology at various stages of examination management and evaluation. The paperless system is anticipated to enhance efficiency, transparency, accuracy, and confidentiality, while also minimizing manual interventions and reducing carbon footprints by eliminating paper usage and physical transport. The initiative has garnered widespread appreciation, reflecting the visionary leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammad Mobin, who has consistently advocated for technological interventions to improve the university’s academic and administrative systems. Under his guidance, the university has focused on harnessing technology to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in its operations. Prof. Mobin acknowledged the contributions of key personnel, including Controller of Examinations Prof. Khurshid Ahmad Mir and Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. Seema Naaz, in successfully implementing this innovative approach. The Vice-Chancellor highlighted that the introduction of paperless examinations aligns with the vision of Digital India and the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which promotes the effective use of technology in higher education. The initiative is expected to create a more efficient, transparent, secure, and environmentally sustainable examination ecosystem. Based on the successful implementation of this system, the university plans to gradually extend the paperless examination initiative to other academic programs, thereby streamlining examination-related processes and improving record management and service delivery for students.
