Sopore : Police on Monday said that it has solved a theft case in Sopore.
In a statement issued here on Monday Police said that following a written complaint from Asrar Ali S/O Abid Hussain Ali R/O Saidpora, Sopore, regarding the theft of valuable copper items from his scrap workshop at Brath Crossing Road a case under FIR No. 223/2026 was registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation was initiated. During the course of the investigation, the accused were identified and apprehended. The stolen copper items and scrap were recovered from their possession and seized in accordance with law.
Police identified the arrested persons as Mehraj-ud-Din Malla S/O Ghulam Mohammad Malla, and Irfan Ahmad Dar S/O Abdul Ahad Dar, both residents of Mehrajpora, Sopore. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
