JDA inputs reviews progress of Seed, Mushroom, Apiculture, Spawn Activities

Srinagar : Joint Director Agriculture (Inputs), Jammu Sanjay Anand, Monday chaired a comprehensive review meeting with district officers and field functionaries to assess the progress of various activities.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Agriculture (SLUB/Farms) Aman Jyoti Sharma, Potato Development Officer Jammu, District Agriculture Officers, Area Development Officers, Divisional Seed Certification officer Jammu, Mushroom Development Officers, Apiculture Development Officers, Spawn Production Officers, Farm Managers and concerned district-level officers, Officers from Agronomist Vegetable Improvement Scheme Jammu and staff.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the physical and financial progress of Seed Multiplication Farms at Chinore and Chakroi, including sowing under Kharif 2026, revenue realization, seed recovery, procurement and distribution of seeds, pending seed handling vouchers and the cropping programme for Rabi 2026-27. Officers were directed to ensure timely submission of Treasury challans, revenue statements, seed distribution bills and other pending records, besides expediting recovery of outstanding seed dues.

The meeting also reviewed the status of mushroom cultivation, including district-wise mushroom growers, Hi-Tech/Climate Controlled and Seasonal Cropping Rooms and Pasteurized Compost Units established under departmental, private, HADP and PMFME interventions.

Under Apiculture, the meeting reviewed registration of new beekeepers on the Madhukranti Portal, implementation of projects under HADP/JKCIP and NBHM, assessment of losses due to Small Hive Beetle, honey production, FSSAI licensing and production and revenue performance. The status of spawn production, requirement of Button and Dhingri spawn, pending revenue recovery and advance requirement of Shiitake Blocks was also discussed.
