Jammu : The District Legal Services Authority Jammu convened a meeting to prepare for the 3rd National Lok Adalat, scheduled for September 12, 2026.
The meeting was led by Sonia Gupta, the I/C Principal District & Sessions Judge and Chairperson of DLSA Jammu, alongside key officials including Khem Raj, Aarti Mohan, and Maleeka Sharma. Conducted in a hybrid format, the meeting included both in-person and virtual participation from representatives of various banks and insurance companies, along with their legal counsels. During the discussions, the Chairperson highlighted the importance of maximizing case disposals during the upcoming Lok Adalat. She advocated for pre-Lok Adalat sittings and emphasized the need for negotiations to facilitate settlements. Gupta urged all participating advocates to ensure their presence and engage actively in the proceedings, aiming for a successful and amicable resolution of cases during the event.
