Handware : Senior Superintendent of Police Handwara, Tahir Saleem Khan on Wednesday chaired a comprehensive security review meeting at District Police Headquarters, Handwara, to assess security preparedness and the prevailing security scenario, police said in a statement issued here on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by Gazetted Officers of Handwara Police, SHOs, DOs, and In-Charges of Police Components. The SSP conducted a detailed review of critical security aspects, including investigations under the NDPS and UAPA Acts, identification of security hotspots, social media surveillance, deployment patterns, and vulnerability mapping. Officers were instructed to strengthen beat policing, step up patrolling, enhance naka checking, and prioritize women’s safety near educational institutions and markets. Emphasizing strong police-public relations, public grievance resolution, and seamless coordination among the Police, Army, and CAPFs, SSP Handwara urged all ranks to work with renewed zeal, professionalism, and vigilance to ensure peace and safety across the police district.
