J&K Police Holds Mission Karmayogi Orientation Workshop at PHQ Srinagar

Srinagar :Jammu& Kashmir Police on Wednesday organised a Capacity Building and Mission Development Officer (MDO) Orientation Workshop under Mission Karmayogi at Police Headquarters (PHQ), Srinagar, for representatives of 13 police wings and training institutions.

The workshop was inaugurated by Deputy Inspector General of Police (Personnel), PHQ, MubassirLatifi, IPS, who highlighted the importance of Mission Karmayogi in promoting continuous learning, capacity building and professional excellence within the police force.

He stressed the need to make effective use of digital learning platforms to strengthen institutional capabilities and improve service delivery.

Earlier, Assistant Inspector General of Police (Training & Policy), PHQ, Manoj Kumar Pandita, JKPS, delivered the introductory remarks and outlined the objectives of the programme.

The workshop focused on orienting Mission Development Officers on the effective management and utilisation of the iGOTKarmayogi platform, with emphasis on improving user engagement, participation in learning programmes and course completion.

Participants were also sensitised to developing competency-based training interventions tailored to the requirements of different functional divisions and organisational levels within J&K Police.

An important session on the preparation of Capacity Building Plans (CBPs) using iGOT AI was conducted by Uzair Simnani, Programme Coordinator, Capacity Building Commission. This was followed by a demonstration of the iGOTKarmayogi platform and an interactive question-and-answer session led by Oshin Prem, Assistant Manager, Karmayogi Bharat.

The workshop underlined the importance of competency-driven learning in improving institutional performance and integrating digital tools with existing training systems.

It was emphasised that training institutions of J&K Police would progressively align and integrate their existing training programmes with the iGOTKarmayogi platform to facilitate continuous and competency-based professional development.

The programme concluded with a commitment to further strengthen the capacity-building ecosystem within J&K Police and advance the objectives of Mission Karmayogi through technology-enabled and competency-focused training.
