Asstt Registrar Directed To Personally Vet Every Paper Book
Srinagar: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has directed its Registry to ensure strict compliance with prescribed rules while preparing paper books in civil and criminal cases after noticing procedural discrepancies. The directions were issued by the Registrar Judicial, Srinagar, following an order passed by the High Court highlighting that improperly compiled records were causing severe inconvenience to advocates appearing in matters.
Officials said the High Court assigned direct supervisory responsibility to the Assistant Registrar of the Digitization Section to personally oversee and vet each paper book before it is issued. The Registry has been warned that any procedural lapse will be viewed seriously. The issued directives mandate strict adherence to Chapter X of the High Court Rules, ensuring proper pagination, standard typing, chronological arrangement of evidence, and complete indices across all case records.
