Pulwama : Police on Wednesday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Pulwama and also seized contraband substances and cash.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Police said that a team from Police Post Newa intercepted a commercial vehicle (registration No. PB01B3431) during a routine check. Upon search of the vehicle’s dashboard approximately 12.5 grams of a heroin-like substance and ₹14,300 in cash were seized. The accused was identified as Mohd. Sahil, a resident of Chak Wali Sahab, Rawalpora, Sanat Nagar, Srinagar. The vehicle, cash, and contraband were seized, and FIR No. 152/2026 under Sections 8/21-27A of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Pulwama for further investigation.
