Rajouri : A 45-year-old woman was injured after being attacked by a wild bear in Tarkasi village of the Peeri area in Rajouri district on Wednesday.
Officials said the victim, identified as Nazira Begum, was working in her village when the wild animal attacked her without warning. Witnesses said local residents rushed to her aid and immediately evacuated her to Government Medical College (GMC), Rajouri, for advanced medical treatment. Police and wildlife authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, while concerned villagers have urged the Forest Department to take immediate measures to capture the animal and prevent further attacks in the region.
