Baramulla : Police on Sunday launched a targeted destruction drive to clear wild cannabis growth in Baramulla district.
Officials said that a Police team conducted a special Bhang destruction drive at Jabadar, Bijhama, during which wild Bhang plants growing across the area were identified and destroyed on the spot.
The drive, officials said was carried out smoothly under strict supervision, reiterating theirin commitment to dismantle the sources of illegal drugs at their root and appealed locals to cooperate with law enforcers in keeping neighborhoods drug-free.
