DLSA Ganderbal Continues Campaign Legal Awareness Under NALSA

Ganderbal | August, 29: Continuing the legal awareness campaign started from 24 August 2026 under the NALSA (JAGRITI) Scheme, 2025. “Empowered Youth, Stronger India”, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ganderbal, Saturday conducted two legal awareness programmes at Sindh Valley Educational Institute, Kangan, and Royal Public High School, Badampora, Ganderbal.
The campaign is being conducted under the guidance of the Chairman, DLSA Ganderbal, Abdul Nasir, Principal District & Sessions Judge, Ganderbal, and under the supervision of the Secretary, DLSA Ganderbal, Sheikh Babar Hussain, with the objective of promoting legal literacy, awareness of rights and responsibilities, and empowering young persons and students.
The programme at Sindh Valley Educational Institute, Kangan, was conducted on “Empowering Youth for Evolving Future.” The session was conducted by Adv. Tariq Ahmad Raina, Member, JAGRITI Unit, who sensitised the students about the important role of youth in shaping an informed, responsible and progressive society. He emphasised the importance of education, awareness, confidence and responsible decision-making in enabling young people to contribute meaningfully towards society.
At Royal Public High School, Badampora, Ganderbal, awareness programme was conducted on “Constitutional Values, Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties.” The session was conducted by Adv. Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Member, JAGRITI Unit, who apprised the students about the significance of constitutional values and the Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties of citizens.
The students were sensitised about the principles of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity, along with the importance of respecting the rights of others and fulfilling their constitutional responsibilities. The session aimed at fostering constitutional awareness and promoting responsible citizenship among the students.
Both programmes witnessed active participation from the students and faculty members and provided an interactive platform for enhancing awareness regarding legal rights, constitutional values and civic responsibilities.
That the awareness campaign, which has started on 24 August 2026, is being carried forward through a series of programmes focusing on youth empowerment, legal literacy and awareness of rights and responsibilities.
