Srinagar: MK Sinha a senior IPS Officer of 1996 batch on Friday took over as the Additional Director General of Criminal Investigation Department, succeeding Nitish Kumar, who has been transferred as ADG Armed Police, officials said.
Reports said that Upon assuming charge, Sinha held a comprehensive review meeting with senior intelligence officers to evaluate operational functioning. Sinha, a 1996-batch IPS officer, previously served as ADG Headquarters, while Kumar, from the 1999 batch, was leading CID and the State Investigation Agency. Senior officers welcomed Sinha, pledging full cooperation while wishing Kumar success in his new posting.
