Tejinder Singh posted as IGP Jammu, major reshuffle ordered in J&K Police

Srinagar :The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Thursday ordered a major reshuffle in the Police Department, appointing senior IPS officer M K Sinha as the new Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Crime Investigation Department (CID), effectively making him the Intelligence Chief of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sinha, who was serving as ADGP Headquarters, has been transferred to the CID, according to an order issued by the Home Department.
Nitish Kumar, who was serving as ADGP CID, has been posted as ADGP J&K Armed Police.
In other key changes, Sujit Kumar, IGP Security J&K, has been appointed IGP Kashmir Zone, replacing Tejinder Singh. Vivek Gupta, IGP Railways J&K, has been posted as IGP Security J&K in place of Sujit Kumar.
Senior IPS officer Sujit Kumar officially assumed charge as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Kashmir Zone today, succeeding Shri Vidhi Kumar Birdi IPS.
Prior to this assignment, he was serving as the IGP Security, J&K. Bringing extensive administrative and operational experience to the helm, he has previously served across all three ranges of the Kashmir Zone, including a tenure leading the Central Kashmir Range.
Tejinder Singh has been transferred as IGP Jammu Zone, replacing Bhim Sen Tuti, who has been posted as IGP Headquarters J&K.
Uttam Chand, IGP Police Operations & Services at Police Headquarters, has been posted as IGP Railways J&K in place of Vivek Gupta. He will continue to hold the additional charge of IGP Operations & Services.
The government has also designated Shakti Kumar Pathak as Director of the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Among other postings, MubassirLatifi Ameer has been appointed DIG IR Kashmir, while Sahil Sarangal has been posted as SSP Pulwama and Sunny Gupta as SSP Kishtwar.
Tahir Saleem Khan has been posted as SSP Handwara, Naresh Singh as SSP Rajouri, and Muzaffar Ahmad Shah as Staff Officer to IGP Kashmir Zone.
The transfers and postings have been ordered by the Lieutenant Governor in the interest of administration and will take effect immediately.
