Pulwama : J&K Police on Thursday inaugurated a Grand Knockout Cricket Tournament for Women at Niloora Cricket Ground in Pulwama under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2026-27. The inaugural ceremony was graced by SSP Pulwama Tanushree, along with other senior police officers of the district.
The tournament features six teams from different parts of the district. The opening match between Grece 11 Pulwama and The Royal Strikers Pulwama witnessed enthusiastic participation and spirited competition, setting an energetic tone for the tournament. Interacting with the participating players SSP Pulwama Tanushree appreciated their enthusiasm and sporting spirit and encouraged them to pursue sports with dedication. She highlighted the importance of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, confidence and overall development among youth.
