Srinagar, Aug 27: The Meteorological Department (MeT) Srinagar has forecast hot and humid weather across Jammu and Kashmir till August 30, with brief spells of rain expected at a few places during the morning and afternoon hours.
According to the weather update issued by the MeT Department, the prevailing hot and humid conditions are likely to continue from August 27 to August 30, although isolated areas may receive brief showers during the morning and afternoon.
The department has predicted that August 31 to September 1 is likely to witness one or two spells of rain and thundershowers at many places across the Union Territory. Brief but intense showers are expected during the early morning and afternoon hours.
Thereafter, from September 2 to September 7, brief spells of rain are expected at a few places, while no major weather activity has been forecast.
The MeT Department has advised people to remain updated with the latest weather advisories, especially in areas prone to heavy showers and waterlogging.
