LG, CM condole loss of lives
Poonch: At least six people are feared dead and several others injured in a road accident in Surankote area of Poonch district on Wednesday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident took place near Shiendra area today evening. He said that at least six persons are feared dead and four to five are injured.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby health facility for treatment, he said
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has condoled the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Poonch, today.
In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor wrote: “Pained by the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Poonch. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. Have directed the District Administration to ensure immediate assistance is provided to those affected.”
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has also expressed deep grief over the tragic road accident in Surankote, Poonch, which claimed six lives and left several others injured.
The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to the departed souls.
He directed the concerned authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment and care for those injured in the accident.
