New Delhi, Aug 26 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended greetings on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, expressing hope that the festival would promote togetherness and spread joy across society.
In a post on social media platform X, the Prime Minister said, “Eid Mubarak! Greetings on Milad-un-Nabi. I hope this occasion furthers togetherness and joy all around us.”
“May the spirit of kindness and giving back to society always guide us,” Modi added.
Milad-un-Nabi, also known as Eid-e-Milad, commemorates the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad and is observed by Muslims through prayers, religious gatherings, charitable activities and acts of service.
The occasion is associated with the values of compassion, peace, brotherhood and service to humanity. Modi’s message highlighted the importance of kindness and contributing to society, while expressing hope that the celebrations would further strengthen harmony and happiness among people.
