Srinagar: On the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, calling for unity, peace, and brotherhood across the region. In their individual messages, both leaders highlighted the timeless relevance of the Holy Prophet’s (SAW) life and teachings as a guide for humanity.
In his greeting messageLieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the enduring values of equality and kindness, stating: “The life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) remain an eternal beacon of peace, equality, and compassion for all humankind. On this sacred day, let us pledge to live by his values of love, kindness, and universal brotherhood and work together to foster a more harmonious, inclusive, and united society.”
Reflecting a shared vision for societal harmony, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah urged citizens to integrate these noble principles into their daily lives to build a more inclusive community. “Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) reminds us of the timeless message of the Prophet (SAW), rooted in kindness, tolerance, and service to humanity,” the Chief Minister noted. “Let us dedicate ourselves to following this noble path and promote unity, brotherhood, and mutual respect across all sections of society.” CM Omar Abdullah also prayed for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, expressing hope that the auspicious occasion would reinforce communal harmony and mutual respect throughout the region.
