Jammu | Aug, 25: The Department of Economics at the Central University of Jammu hosted a lecture on “Financial Management” aimed at enhancing the financial acumen of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Delivered by Abhinav Kohli, a Financial Consultant and IIM Ranchi alumnus, the session emphasized the significance of financial planning, informed decision-making, and the effective management of financial resources. Kohli’s insights bridged theoretical knowledge with practical applications, allowing students to relate classroom concepts to real-world financial scenarios. Dr. Shaveta Kohli, the Head of the Department, underscored the necessity for students to cultivate a robust understanding of financial management, highlighting its critical role in making informed financial choices. She encouraged students to leverage the knowledge acquired during the lecture in their academic and professional pursuits. The event not only facilitated a deeper understanding of essential financial principles but also provided students with the opportunity to engage with an industry expert. The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Ms. Naina Khajuria, a student representative, who acknowledged the contributions of the speaker, university officials, faculty, and fellow students. This lecture was part of the department’s initiative to enrich students’ academic experiences and promote financial literacy, which is increasingly vital in today’s complex economic landscape.
