7th District Kupwara Yogasana Sports Championship 2026 Concludes at Handwara

Anantnag : The 7th District Kupwara Yogasana Sports Championship 2026 concluded today at the Indoor Sports Stadium, Handwara, with enthusiastic participation from young athletes and yoga enthusiasts from across the district.

The two-day championship was organised by the District Kupwara Yogasana Sports Association (DKYSA) in association with Yogasana Bharat and under the affiliation of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council.

The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara graced the concluding ceremony as the Chief Guest. SSP Handwara also attended the event and appreciated the efforts of the organisers in promoting yoga, sports and a healthy lifestyle among the youth.

ASP Handwara, SDPO Handwara and SHO Handwara were also present on the occasion and encouraged the participating athletes for their dedication and sporting spirit.

The championship provided a platform for young participants to showcase their talent, discipline and skills in Yogasana, while also promoting the importance of physical fitness, mental well-being and sportsmanship among the younger generation.

At the conclusion of the event, Mr. War Shahbaz  expressed his gratitude to the Chief Guest, police and civil administration officers, officials of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, Yogasana Bharat, participating athletes, coaches, parents and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the championship.

He thanked all the guests and participants for their valuable presence and support and expressed hope that such sporting events would continue to inspire more youngsters across District Kupwara to take up yoga and sports.
