Awantipora : Police on Tuesday said that it has seized two vehicles for illegal extraction and transportation of mineral in Awantipora.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday Police said that a police team headed by SHO Police Station Khrew seized two dumpers involved in unauthorized mineral extraction and transportation in the Zantrag area during routine patrolling. A case under FIR No. 63/2026 has been registered, and investigations have been initiated. Reaffirming its drive against illegal mining Police in its statement also appealed people to report any unlawful extraction activities in their localities.
