184 Armed Police Personnel Get In-Situ Promotion

Srinagar : The Armed Police Headquarters (APHQ), J&K, has granted in-situ promotions to 184 police personnel belonging to different ranks in recognition of their dedicated service, commitment and professional contribution.

The promotions were approved by a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) headed by V.K. Birdi, IPS, IGP, Head of Armed Wing.

The committee comprised Maqsood-ul-Zaman, DIG Armed Kashmir; Mubbasher Hussain, SSP, CO 9th JKAP IR Battalion; Manzoor Ahmad, DySP (M), ADO ZAPHQ Kashmir; Mohd. Shakil, Accounts Officer, APHQ J&K; and Ab Rashid, Pay Clerk, APHQ J&K. After examining the eligible cases, the committee found 184 Armed Police personnel fit for promotion and approved their in-situ elevation. Congratulating the promoted personnel, V.K. Birdi extended his best wishes to them and their families. He appreciated their dedicated service and urged them to continue performing their duties with commitment, discipline, integrity and professionalism.

The promotions underscore the department’s focus on recognising merit, rewarding dedicated service and providing career growth and professional advancement opportunities to its personnel.
