Four Vehicles Seized For Illegal Extraction, Transportation Of Minerals In G’bal : Police

G’bal : Police on Monday said that it has seized three tippers and one tractor within the jurisdictions of Police Station Lar, Police Station Gund, and Police Post Nagbal.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday Police said that the vehicles were found extracting and transporting mining material without valid authorization, operating in direct violation of prescribed norms. “The vehicles were seized on the spot, and the matter was taken up with the concerned Geology & Mining Department, which subsequently imposed the requisite fines under the relevant provisions of law,” the statement reads.

In its statement Police reiterated its commitment to curb illegal mining activities across the district and appealed people to cooperate with law enforcrs to protect natural resources, warning that strict action will continue against anyone indulging in such unlawful practices.
