DDC Poonch inspects Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi arrangements

Poonch  : District Development Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma Sunday conducted an extensive visit to various locations in Poonch town to inspect arrangements for the observance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi and the associated religious procession.

Among those present were Additional Deputy Commissioner Tahir Mustafa Malik, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Muhammad Sayeed, Assistant Director (FCS&CA) Khalil Ahmed Banday, alongside officers from Jal Shakti and other departments concerned.

During the visit, the District Development Commissioner inspected Poonch Eidgah and reviewed the arrangements for devotees attending the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi programme. The DDC assessed the availability of essential amenities and directed the departments concerned to ensure proper arrangements for public convenience, safety and security.

The Deputy Commissioner also visited Jama Masjid, Poonch, to review preparations for the procession in the presence of Hazrat Maulana Mufti Farooq Hussain Misbahi and Hazrat Maulana Hafiz Abdul Majeed Madani. The Chair took detailed stock of crowd management, traffic regulation, sanitation, drinking water, power supply, security arrangements and other essential services along the designated route.

The DDC directed the officers concerned to maintain close coordination and put all necessary arrangements in place well in advance to ensure the religious programme and procession proceed peacefully and smoothly.

Later, the District Development Commissioner visited the historic Poonch Fort (Qila) and Main Bazaar to review overall town arrangements. The DC emphasised maintaining cleanliness, facilitating smooth traffic movement and keeping all public utilities fully functional.

The DDC reiterated the commitment of the district administration to provide all essential facilities and ensure a peaceful, safe and well-managed observance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi in Poonch.
