Srinagar: Owais Mushtaq Sheikh, a 21-year-old resident of Prang, Kangan, earned widespread local praise on Saturday after voluntarily retrieving a body from the swift currents of Nallah Sindh.
“At that moment, I did not think about my own safety. I felt it was my responsibility to help and retrieve the body,” Owais said , emphasizing his wish to restore dignity to the deceased and bring closure to the family. Local residents commended his heroism, calling it an inspiring act of community compassion.
