Ganderbal, Aug 22: The search operation to trace an 18-year-old youth from Srinagar who is feared to have drowned in Nallah Sindh in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district entered its second day on Saturday, officials said.
The youth, identified as Danish Bilal, son of Bilal Ahmad Hajam, a resident of Hafiz Bagh, Dargah, Srinagar, reportedly went missing on Friday after entering the water body near the dumping park at Kijpara to take a bath.
Soon after the incident, a team of Kangan Police, along with local residents, launched a search operation in the area to trace the missing youth.
Despite sustained efforts, the youth could not be traced so far, and the search operation continued for the second consecutive day.
