Ramban :The Motor Vehicles Department, in coordination with District Police, conducted a special enforcement drive at Maitra to check violations of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Of 137 vehicles inspected, 36 were e-challaned for violations including overcharging, overloading, operating without valid permits and fitness certificates, and use of curtains. Expected penalties amount to ₹40,500. Two driving licences were recommended for suspension and two vehicles were seized.
