Anantnag : Deputy Commissioner Anantnag Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat Thursday reviewed the progress of AgriStack implementation and other digital agriculture initiatives in the district, directing officers to complete pending work within stipulated timelines.
The meeting reviewed digitisation, AgriStack implementation and Farmer ID generation. The DC directed revenue officials, agriculture officers and field functionaries to work in close coordination, intensify Farmer ID registration through village-level camps and undertake daily monitoring to ensure data accuracy and quality.
Out of 5,02,985 entries, 3,04,720 have been completed, registering around 60.5 per cent progress. More than 84 Farmer ID registration camps are operational, through which 2,830 registrations have been completed.
Dr. Bhat stressed thorough verification under the prescribed three-tier submission, verification and approval mechanism, observing that accurate data is essential for effective delivery of digital agriculture services. He said AgriStack would provide an important foundation for modernising agriculture and enabling targeted farmer-centric services.
