Jammu : A delegation of Head of Departments, faculty, and office-bearers of the University of Jammu, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Umesh Rai, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed matters pertaining to institutional growth and future academic expansion.
The delegation expressed gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor for securing the transfer of 147 kanals and 11 marlas of land from Defence authorities to the campus. Terming it a watershed moment, the fraternity acknowledged that resolving this long-standing issue paves the way for infrastructure development, research, and long-term academic excellence.
The Lieutenant Governor emphasized raising teaching and research benchmarks, fostering innovation, and contributing meaningfully to society and the nation.
