Minhas Sanctions Rs 20 Lakh, Pledges Action On Anti-Drug Drive And Land Rights
Jammu : District Development Commissioner Dr Rakesh Minhas chaired Block Diwas at Bhalwal, resolving public grievances and directing officials on pending infrastructure projects.
The Deputy Commissioner sanctioned Rs 20 lakh for urgent works in local schools, including ground preparation at GHSS Gharota, and instructed the PDD to upgrade the power transformer at JNV. He announced that road tenders for Ghaink-Aghore have been issued, with construction starting tomorrow. In addition, site inspections for local ponds were ordered, ration card issues addressed, and the Gharota tubewell readied for operation. He reaffirmed action against drug trade networks, noting 40 structures have been demolished under Nasha Mukt JK Abhiyan. Directives were also issued to facilitate ownership rights for West Pakistan Refugees and Displaced Persons.
