Bandipora : Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, chaired a meeting to assess arrangements for the upcoming Maha Dhyaneshwar (Chota Amarnath) Yatra scheduled for August 28.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed security along the track, medical facilities at Sharda Mandir, Kaloosa, and provisions for sanitation, transportation, electricity, drinking water, fire tenders, refreshments, and ponies.
Emphasizing environmental responsibility, the DC announced that this year’s pilgrimage will be observed as a ‘Zero Waste Yatra’ under the Swachhta 50-50 campaign, with Swachhta bags provided to pilgrims for waste collection and disposal.
The meeting was attended in person and virtually by key district, police, military, and departmental officials.
