Doda  : The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Doda organised a one-day orientation programme and seminar at Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Bharath and High School (HS) Bhelli Tuesday, focusing on the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) and the mental health and well-being of students and teachers. The programme was conducted under the guidance of  Rajesh Kumar, Principal, DIET Doda.

The programme was attended by the Heads of Institutions (HoIs) of Cluster Bharath, with around 60 teachers participating in the orientation and interactive sessions. The programme aimed to sensitise educators about holistic assessment practices and strengthen awareness regarding the importance of mental health, emotional well-being and a supportive school environment.

During the programme, DNO DIET Doda Zakia Khanum conducted awareness activities and interacted with students and teachers at GHS Bhelli and GHSS Bharath. She highlighted the significance of mental health and emotional well-being and emphasised the need to create a safe, supportive and positive environment conducive to the overall development of students and teachers.

DNO INSPIRE-MANAK Zahid Ahmed (Lecturer) also sensitised the participants about the INSPIRE-MANAK programme, its objectives and the important role of schools in promoting innovation, creativity and scientific temperament among students.

The interactive sessions provided teachers an opportunity to deliberate on various aspects of holistic assessment, student well-being and balanced academic development, with emphasis on nurturing the cognitive, emotional, social and overall development of learners.

The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening school-level initiatives aimed at promoting holistic assessment, mental health awareness, innovation and the overall well-being of students and teachers.
