Srinagar : Minister for Social Welfare, Education, Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo, chaired the 46th Board of Directors meeting of the JKSCSTBC Development Corporation Limited at the Civil Secretariat Monday. Officials said the board deliberated on administrative, financial, and policy matters while approving the Budget Estimates for the financial year 2026–27.
During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the need for the Corporation to function with greater efficiency and transparency, observing, “Welfare interventions should translate into tangible improvements in the socio-economic conditions of beneficiaries, particularly through initiatives that encourage entrepreneurship, sustainable livelihoods and economic self-reliance.” The Board directed the Corporation to establish an online system for recovery and disbursement, while intensifying efforts to collect outstanding loans.
