Young Talents showcase Skill and Determination
BARAMULLA, AUGUST 18: The second day of the Inter-Zonal District-Level Selection Trials/Competitions in Chess, Badminton, Table Tennis and Taekwondo for boys and girls continued with great enthusiasm across various venues in District Baramulla.
The events are being organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports, Baramulla, to identify and nurture promising sporting talent.
The Under-17 Boys Badminton competition was held at Bipin Rawat Indoor Stadium, Baramulla, witnessing participation from players representing 15 zones. The Under-14 and Under-17 Girls and 17 boys Chess competitions were conducted at Budding Bloom School, with over 100 students displaying their strategic skills and competitive spirit.
Meanwhile, Under-17 Boys Table Tennis selection trials and Under-17 Boys Taekwondo selection trials were conducted at the Indoor Stadium, Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla, where participants showcased their talent, discipline and determination.
The ongoing competitions reflect the Department’s continued commitment towards providing young athletes with competitive platforms and identifying talent for higher-level representation.
