Srinagar : Sanjeev Kumar, Commandant of Adhoc Battalion VII of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on Saturday commemorated the 80th Independence Day by hoisting the Tricolour at the New Auditorium of NIT Srinagar. The event was attended by SSB personnel who are currently stationed at the auditorium for law-and-order duties during ongoing Amarnath Yatra.
After the flag hoisting, Kumar engaged with the personnel, extending Independence Day greetings and expressing appreciation for their discipline and commitment to duty. He took the opportunity to distribute sweets and inquire about their well-being during their deployment. Additionally, he conveyed the message from the Director General of SSB, offering good wishes to the personnel and their families while recognizing the challenges faced by those serving away from home. The ceremony included the singing of the National Anthem and concluded with the distribution of sweets, highlighting the spirit of patriotism and camaraderie among the SSB personnel at NIT Srinagar.
