New Delhi :The J&K Resident Commission celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour at its premises on Prithviraj Road, New Delhi.
Additional Resident Commissioner Anil Sharma hoisted the National Flag and paid tribute to freedom fighters and national heroes. He urged officers and staff to uphold integrity, dedication and professionalism in public service.
Sharma highlighted recent upgradation work at J&K Houses in Chanakyapuri and Amritsar, while work on the J&K House at Dwarka is expected to commence shortly.
A cultural programme featuring patriotic songs and performances was also held. Mementoes and certificates were presented to Resident Commission staff, JKAP personnel and children who participated in the celebrations.
