Baramulla : Minister for Agricultural Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Javid Ahmad Dar hoisted the National Flag at Professor Showkat Ali Sports Stadium, Baramulla, and took the salute at the ceremonial parade.
The parade featured contingents from BSF, CRPF, J&K Police, SSB, Home Guards, NCC and school students.
Dar paid tribute to freedom fighters and highlighted Baramulla’s progress in agriculture, healthcare, education, rural development, connectivity, social welfare and employment.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to transparent, accountable and people-centric governance and inclusive development.
Government departments presented tableaux showcasing their schemes and initiatives, while school students presented cultural performances. Similar celebrations were also held in Sopore, Pattan, Uri and other parts of the district.
