Budgam : Police on Friday said that it has attached an immovable property valued at approximately ₹10 lakh in Khansahib area of Budgam district.
In a statement issued here on Friday Police said that action was taken under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in connection with FIR No. 92/2026, registered under Sections 8 and 20 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Khansahib.
The attached property—comprising a commercial shop and a car-washing facility—belongs to the accused, Mohammad Rafiq Khan, a resident of Arizal, who is alleged to be involved in drug peddling. The legal attachment prevents the accused from deriving financial benefits from assets linked to illicit narcotics trafficking. In its Statement Police reiterated its resolve to adopt zero-tolerance, comprehensive approach against illegal narcotics, targeting both offenders and their illicitly acquired assets to eradicate the drug menace from the region.
