New Delhi : In his first interview following Operation Sindoor, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval made it unequivocally clear that India acted with decisive force to destroy terrorist strongholds after the Pahalgam terror attack.
Speaking in Discovery’s upcoming two-part docuseries Declassified: Operation Sindoor, Doval revealed, “We had decided the objective of the operation as destruction of the enemy camps, particularly those who had been responsible for the Pahalgam attack.” Reaffirming the nation’s resolve to protect its sovereignty without hesitation, Doval warned against misinterpreting India’s restraint, adding, “Message to the world is very clear – India’s generosity or India being tolerant should not be mistaken for its weakness. India can take risks, India can hit hard, irrespective of the consequences,”
Premiering exclusively on Discovery and discovery+ on August 15, the docuseries draws on firsthand accounts from top military leadership, intelligence personnel, and frontline commanders to chronicle the high-stakes mission from planning to execution. Reflecting on the nation’s strategic response, former Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan (Retd.) noted, “Like, I think, all citizens of the country, we were actually hit by the brutality of this attack. I think it was most barbaric. It was decided that India would not bow down to such kinds of threats. At a strategic level, I think that knowing when to stop a conflict is equally important.
